D’oh! There’s a MASSIVE Maggie error in The Simpsons that no one has spotted… until now!

The Simpsons missed something very important about Maggie...

We love The Simpsons almost as much as we love spotting errors in the cartoon favourite and a producer on the show has spotted an absolute clanger about baby Maggie.

In the 1995 episode And Maggie Makes Three, Marge is talking to a very worried looking Homer Simpson about her pregnancy with the future Maggie. But, erm, there’s just one small problem - as Marge puts a loving hand to her baby bump in the background is a photo of Maggie. D’oh!!

Executive Producer Matt Selman wrote, “Maggie is in photo on wall behind Marge telling Homer she’s pregnant with Maggie.”

This of course sparked loads of debate, with producer Al Jean joking that The Simpsons canon was now “in ruins”. He also tweeted: “I hope you’re happy because we just fired SEVENTEEN people for that blunder. Fired. Through. Done.”

Yeardley Smith, who voices Lisa Simpson, also joined in, just saying: “Oooops”.

In the past the show has been credited with predicting the future. At one point in the summer, football fans got very excited as it looked like The Simpsons had correctly predicated a Mexico v Portugal final, only for that not to happen!

But in 2004 they did seemingly cryptically predict the news of Toys R Us going under before it even happened!

The Simpsons also supposedly predicted Donald Trump becoming President.
